Beit Trust Scholarships 2027/28

Only for Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi. Students from Cameroon and other countries are not eligible.

The Beit Trust funds postgraduate study for talented graduates from Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi who plan to return home and contribute after their studies.

What you get

• Full tuition and academic fees, paid directly to the university
• A living allowance
• UK visa, health surcharge and related costs
• Arrival, laptop and departure allowances
• Economy flights to and from your study destination

Spouses and dependants are not supported.

Who can apply

• Nationals or permanent residents of Zambia, Zimbabwe or Malawi who intend to return
• Master's study only (PhD support is exceptional), at the Trust's designated partner universities in the UK or South Africa
• A Distinction or Upper Second Class degree is preferred; lower classes are not excluded but face strong competition
• Medical and veterinary applicants need 18 months' internship plus one year's in-country posting

Timeline Applications open 1 December 2026 and close 12 February 2027. No applications are processed after that date. The Trust does not publish a closing time, so this card closes at noon UK time to be safe. UK programmes start September 2027; South African programmes start January 2028.
