Girls On Campus She Leads Scholarship 2026

Girls On Campus runs a small, low-friction scholarship for women of colour in US higher education. One essay, one form, no recommendation letters.

Value. $1,500 — $1,000 paid directly to your school in Fall 2027, $500 to you. It is a top-up rather than a full ride.

Who can apply. High school seniors, current undergraduates or graduate students who self-identify as women, are gender nonconforming, or are allies, and who identify as a woman of colour or come from a Hispanic/Latino, African American, Asian, Middle Eastern or Native American background. Girls On Campus explicitly welcomes US citizens, permanent residents, international students, DACA recipients and undocumented students.

The catch for applicants outside the US. You must intend to enrol in an undergraduate programme at an accredited US institution for Fall 2027, and be enrolled at a US college or university. So this works if you already have a US admission path — it is not a route into one from scratch.

What you write. 250–500 words on the significant challenges women of colour face in pursuing higher education, and how you plan to address and overcome them.

Deadline. 25 November 2026, 11:59 p.m. The organiser does not name a time zone; the countdown assumes US Eastern, so treat 25 November as the real last day.
