About this opportunity
This is the strongest entry on this board for a Cameroonian still in secondary school, and one of the few aimed at school-leavers rather than graduates. It pays tuition, books, incidental fees and full residence at the University of Toronto for four years, for about 37 students a year drawn from all over the world. There is no nationality restriction — Cameroon qualifies.
The requirement that stops almost everyone is that you cannot apply for yourself. Your secondary school must nominate you, each school may nominate only one student per year, and the nomination closes on 9 October 2026. So the real work is convincing your principal or guidance counsellor now. If your school has never taken part, it must register to join by noon Eastern Time on that same day.
The second trap is the hidden admissions deadline. The scholarship form itself is not due until 6 November, but you must already have applied for undergraduate admission to U of T by 16 October, and if you miss that you are out regardless.
You must also be entering university for the first time. Anyone who has begun post-secondary study anywhere is ineligible.
One warning from U of T itself: agents who offer paid help with this scholarship are fraudulent. Nomination only ever comes through your school.
