Read the cost first. This exchange is not funded. There is no scholarship, stipend or fee waiver. You pay:
- IDR 1,750,000 per credit for English-taught courses (IDR 350,000 for Indonesian-taught). At the minimum 10-credit load that is roughly IDR 17.5 million, about USD 1,050.

- International airfare, accommodation, living costs and mandatory international health insurance
If that is beyond your budget, skip this one — there is no aid attached to it.
What it is: a semester at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, running February to June 2027, with most exchange courses taught in English. Ten-plus faculties are open: Economics and Business, Social and Political Sciences, Geography, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Law, Psychology, Biology, Animal Science, Cultural Sciences and Engineering. Course load is 10 to 18 credits.
Two routes
- Nominated — your university nominates you. Nomination deadline 20 September 2026.
- Free Mover — you apply independently, even if your university has no agreement with UGM. Application deadline 20 November 2026. You still need official documentation confirming support or enrolment from your home university, and a GPA of 3.0 / 4.0 or equivalent.
The Free Mover route is what makes this open to Cameroonian students at universities with no UGM partnership.
Also required: at least two completed semesters of study before the exchange begins, and TOEFL 500 / IELTS 5.0 / iBT 70 if your prior instruction was not in English. No country restrictions are stated, and no application fee.
