About this opportunity
AAUW International Fellowships support women who are not United States citizens to study full time for a master's or doctoral degree in the United States.
The stipend is USD 20,000 for a master's and USD 25,000 for a doctorate, and it may go towards tuition, fees, books and living costs including housing, food and dependent care. For this cycle the awards are limited to programmes formally classified as STEM disciplines.
There is no country list to check. Any woman who is not a US citizen or permanent resident, and who is not applying for permanent residency, may apply - so Cameroonian applicants are eligible.
One point matters before you start: you must already be admitted to or enrolled in the degree programme, and it must be your first master's or doctorate. Proof of English proficiency is required, through TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge scores, or study at an English-medium institution.
Applications close on 17 September 2026 at 5pm Eastern Time, which is 10pm in Cameroon. That is a short window, so this card suits someone who already holds a US offer rather than someone starting from scratch.
