Aalto University Excellence Scholarship 2027 — Master's in Finland

Aalto University Excellence Scholarships are full tuition-fee waivers for students who must pay tuition — in practice, non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens without a fee-exempting Finnish residence permit — admitted to an English-taught master's programme at Aalto (Espoo, Finland).

What it covers

• 100% of tuition for the two-year normative period (fees are €15,000 Business, €17,000 Technology & Multidisciplinary, €20,000 Art and Architecture per year).
• It does not cover living costs; Aalto recommends budgeting at least €800/month.
• Awards are merit-based and very limited; some programmes may award none. Students admitted from the waiting list cannot receive one.

How to apply

There is no separate form: answer "yes" to "do you apply for scholarship" in your master's application on Studyinfo.fi during the application period.

• Application period: 7 Dec 2026, 09:00 – 5 Jan 2027, 15:00 (Finnish time, UTC+2)
• Document deadline: 12 Jan 2027, 15:00 (UTC+2)
• Scholarship and admission decisions are issued together and cannot be appealed.

The card's deadline is shown in Johannesburg time, which matches Finnish winter time (UTC+2).
