The OIST PhD Program is a 5-year interdisciplinary doctorate at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University in Okinawa, Japan. Teaching and research are entirely in English. This round is the 2027 Admissions Workshop intake.

- Application fee: 5,000 JPY (non-refundable)
- Statement of purpose (max 800 words), CV, transcripts, 2–5 English recommendation letters, TOEFL iBT or IELTS from the last 2 years (can be waived if you were taught in English), passport scan and a recent ID photo
