About this opportunity
The VU Amsterdam Fellowship Programme (VUFP) is a merit scholarship from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam that waives the full tuition fee for outstanding international students.
What it covers
Tuition fees only. There is no allowance for rent, food or insurance, so you need your own funding for living costs. VU has committed about €1 million to the programme overall.
Eligibility
- Non-EU/EEA passport, not Dutch, and not entitled to the lower statutory fee
- Academic excellence equivalent to a Dutch GPA of 8
- Conditional or unconditional admission to a full-time, English-taught VU master's starting September 2027 (February starts and some joint programmes excluded)
- No prior Dutch degree, and not currently enrolled in a Dutch bachelor's or master's
- Apply for the scholarship for one master's programme only
