About this opportunity
Dartmouth's Neukom Institute funds postdoctoral researchers whose work uses computation in a way that does not fit neatly into one department — computer science alongside biology, music, anthropology, art, medicine or anything else.
What you get. $70,000 for 2027–2028, a two-year appointment with an optional third year, and additional funds for equipment, travel and research materials.
Who can apply. A PhD in any discipline, or a DMA or MFA, expected by September 2027. Dartmouth does not publish a nationality restriction for this fellowship.
Two dates. Applications close 1 December 2026. Letters of recommendation are due a week later, on 8 December 2026 — tell your referees early, because a late letter is the usual way these applications fail.
