About
Uppsala University, Sweden's oldest university, offers two tuition scholarships for fee-paying international students starting a programme in autumn 2027:
- Uppsala University Global Scholarship — for citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, applying to a Master's programme
- Anders Wall Scholarship — for citizens of African countries, for Bachelor's and Master's programmes
Both are highly competitive (about 2% of applicants are awarded).
Key dates
- Apply for your programme on universityadmissions.se before the University Admissions deadline (mid-January) — the scholarship must be for your first-priority programme
- 16 January – 1 February 2027 — scholarship application window
- The application fee and complete supporting documents must reach University Admissions before their deadline

A handful of programmes are excluded (for example the Joint Nordic Master's in Environmental Law and Euroculture) — check the list on the Uppsala page before choosing.
