Princeton University First-Year Admission 2027 — need-blind, full aid

Princeton is one of very few universities anywhere that is need-blind for international applicants — your ability to pay plays no part in the admission decision — and that then meets the full demonstrated financial need of everyone it admits. Aid comes as grants, not loans, so there is nothing to repay.

Deadlines for Fall 2027 entry

• Single-Choice Early Action: application 1 November 2026, financial aid application 9 November 2026, decisions mid-December
• Regular Decision: application 1 January 2027, financial aid application 1 February 2027, decisions late March
• Reply date: 1 May 2027

Princeton does not print a cut-off time on its deadline page, so treat each date as end of day and submit early.

What you get

• Full demonstrated need met for every admitted student, international or American
• Aid awarded as grants that are never repaid
• No merit scholarships exist at Princeton — academic and athletic merit awards are not offered, so all aid is need-based

Who can apply

• Secondary-school leavers of any nationality, Cameroon included
• Apply through the Common Application or Coalition Application
• TOEFL, IELTS Academic, PTE Academic or Duolingo may be required depending on your schooling

Worth knowing Single-Choice Early Action is restrictive: if you apply early to Princeton you may not apply early to most other private universities. If you want to compare aid offers, Regular Decision on 1 January is the safer route.
