About this opportunity
What it is
The Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) funds African students to take a two-year MSc at Wageningen University & Research — the Netherlands' specialist university for food, agriculture, environment and life sciences, and consistently ranked first in the world in its fields.
What it covers
- Tuition fees for the full 24 months
- Living allowance for 24 months
- Travel to and from the Netherlands
- Visa and health insurance costs
Who can apply
- Citizens of an African country
- A first-class honours degree, 80%+ GPA
- Preference goes to applicants who do not already hold a master's degree
- September start only; for prospective students, not those already enrolled at WUR
How it works
Selection is by invitation. You apply for admission to a Wageningen MSc programme first; candidates who meet the bar are then invited to the scholarship round in March–April 2027, with a lottery deciding the final awards.
Deadline
Wageningen says applications must be in before 1 December 2026. This card counts down to 30 November so you are not caught by that wording — treat 30 November as your last day.
